Amenities and awards
You must be registered by May 20th to be guaranteed a race t-shirt. Anyone who registers after May 20th will receive a pair of Performance Fitsok Running Socks instead of a t-shirt. All youth 12 and under are guaranteed a t-shirt, however their t-shirt is not guaranteed to be available for pickup at the race if they register after May 20th (in this case it will be mailed to you instead). A performance T-shirt will be given to all half-marathon, half-marathon relay, 5k, and combo racers. A cotton T-shirt will be given to all 1-mile racers. There will be NO EXCHAGES on the T-shirts as we order for the correct amount of registrants. T-shirts are available in youth, women's, and men's sizes.
Finisher medals will be awarded to participants in the 1-mile race.
Participants in the 5K, half-marathon, and half-marathon relay will receive a custom finisher medal at the completion of their race. Medals feature Fergus Falls area landmarks and are keepsake in themselves.
Trophies are awarded for top overall male and female half-marathoners. Medals are given to the top three male and female half-marathon and 5k finishers in each of the following age categories:
- 12 and under
- 13 to 19
- 20 to 29
- 30 to 39
- 40 to 49
- 50 to 59
- 60 to 69
- 70 and up
Awards will be given to the first place team in the half-marathon relay for the following:
- Men’s Division
- Women’s Division
- Mixed Division
The top male and female in the 1-mile will be awarded a medal.
Combo racers will be eligible for 5k awards only. No 1-mile awards will be given to combo racers.
The start of each of the race will not be chip timed but will start on a very wide street. If you are running for an award, make sure to start at the front. There will be a foam-backed chip attached to the back of your bib that will track you as you cross the finish. Please do not bend, fold, wrinkle or remove the chip from your bib. All combo racers will get chip timed for both the 1-mile and 5k race. Relay teams will exchange ankle straps with a number and timing chip attached. Make sure the chip is strapped to your ankle as it will not read if on your wrist/arm. Pickle Events will be covering our race as they have done in the past. Race results can be found by hovering over "Results" and clicking on "2019 Results." You can find the results at mtecresults.com and by searching "Lake Region Run."
Post-race food is provided at the completion of each race. There will be bananas, granola bars, and water! Stumbeano's Coffee will be selling warm and cold drinks.
